- 2 inch ginger piece
- 5 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup decicated coconut powdar
- 2 tbsp poppy seeds
- 3 tbsp white sesame seeds (til)
- 2 tbsp fennel seeds (sauf)
- 150 gram peanut seeds
- 2 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 no of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons milk + 1 tablespoon sugar mixer
- as required Oil for deep frying
Steps to make to make Bhakarwadi
- First we will make flour to prepare the layer for Bhakharwadi. To do this, grind menda,, wheat flour and gram flour in a bowl and add oil and salt and mix well. Now add little by little water and knead a little hard flour. Knead the flour for three to four minutes. And put oil on the flour, cover it and let it rest for fifteen to twenty minutes.
- Then we will now prepare the masala for the stuffing of Bhakharwadi. For this, dry roast sesame seeds, fennel seeds and poppy seeds in a pan over low heat. When it cools down, grind it into a powder. Then dry roast the peanuts in a pan, cool and make peanut powder. Then dry roast the coconut powder, cool it, add sugar and make it into fine powder. Now gather all these things in one big bowl.

- Then add in a same bowl Kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt and green chillies, ginger and garlic paste in a bowl and mix everything well. Now add lemon juice and mix. Stir in all the ingredients to make masala.
- Now add 2 tablespoons milk and 1 tablespoon sugar in a bowl and stir. This mixture will be used in making Bhakharwadi.
- Now knead the flour for three to four minutes. Now take a piece and weave an 8 inch loaf of bread. Now apply the prepared milk and sugar mixture evenly on it and spread the prepared masala on it leaving the edge of the roti and spread it evenly. Now spread the milk mixture on the edge of the roti and now roll it and roll it from bottom to top.
- Make a tight roll out of it and stick it to the edges. Now cut both the sides of the roll into small pieces with the help of a knife and press each piece in the palm so that the cut part is facing upwards so that it sticks and does not come off while frying. Prepare all the Bhakharwadi in this way.
- Now heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add six to eight bhakharwadis and fry on medium to low heat till golden brown. Fry Bhakharwadi on low heat otherwise it will burn from outside and remain raw from inside. Prepare all the Bhakharwadi and deep frying in this way. Allow Bhakharwadi to cool completely and then fill it in an airtight container. This Bhakharwadi can be stored in air tight container for 10 to 12 days.
