  4. Now add onion and saute till the color of the onion changes slightly.
  5. Add 1 inch furthermore add 2 green chilies and saute well. furthermore, add 2 tomatoes and saute till they turn soft and mushy.
  6. Pour water and add salt. Keep a boil.
  7. Keeping the flame on low start adding roasted semolina slowly, stirring continuously in another hand.
  8. This helps to prevent from any lumps formation and Rava absorbs water.
  9. Cover and simmer on low flame for 3-5 minutes or till tomato upma is cooked well.
