  9. 1 cup powdered sugar
  10. 1 tablespoon Cardamom powder
  11. 1/4 cup Cashew and raisins
  12. 3-4 tablespoon ghee
  13. Sata
  14. 1/4 cup melted ghee
  15. 3-4 tablespoon cornflour
  16. as required Oil for frying

  1. For the stuffing, heat ghee and roast the semolina well. Remove on a plate. Now dry roast the coconut for a minute and take in the same plate. Dry roast the cashews and raisins for few seconds. Let everything cool down and then add the Sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well and keep aside
  2. Now for the cover, mix Maida and salt. Add hot ghee and mix with a spoon. Then add water little by little and knead a dough. Don't knead too much

  4. Now roll 5-6 chapatis of the dough. Place one chapati and apply the sata all over. Place another chapati. Repeat the process till the last one. Roll them like we do for pinwheel or bhaakwadis. Cut them into desired size. Place one and roll it thin. Place 2 spoons of bakur in the centre and close into a D shape.
  5. Heat oil. Fry these karanji on medium heat in batches.
